Erik Harley (Preferiría Periferia) is an Urban Studies specialist with a degree in Fine Arts. Best known as the creator of Pormishuevismo, he is a researcher and public communicator who collaborates with a range of media outlets, speaking out against economic corruption, speculative development, and the destruction of the land.
He has written books, worked with museums, and developed a wide range of cultural projects in defense of a more honest, fair, and sustainable future. He currently runs Oficina Periferia and leads tours across the Iberian Peninsula.
Named AD’s Communicator of the Year in 2023, his work is built around one central idea: “Destroying the land is neither the only nor the best way to create wealth.” He has collaborated with media and platforms including El Intermedio, RNE, Filmin, Netflix, PAAC, Fundación Arquia, ARTE.tv, Architectural Digest, and Ecosia, and speaks about architecture, cities, and the environment.
